There are many different treatments designed for skin bleaching, including laser, cryotherapy (freezing away from the lesion), microdermabrasion (“sandblast” skin with toxic chemicals), oral treatments (pills) and topical products (special balms).

Skin bleaching special balms are the most popular treatments used. You will find lots of them available on the market. Some available by prescription among others over the counter.

Most of the epidermis bleaching creams contain substances that can reduce the number of melanin production by inhibiting tyrosinase, an integral enzyme to melanin synthesis. Three of the very most commonly used are:

– Hydroquinone. Very effective and also potentially harmful. Skin bleaching creams containing hydroquinone are banned in Europe but easily obtainable in USA (concentrations of 2% non-prescription and higher by prescription).

– Arbutin. It is a natural and organic alternative to hydroquinone purchased from some berry plants. It seems to whiten skin very effectively without dangerous unwanted effects.

– Kojic Acid. It is another natural ingredient traditionally used in skin bleaching creams. It is extracted from a type of fungi or as by product inside the fermentation of rice when coming up with sake.Besides inhibit melanin production, it offers antioxidant and antibacterial properties.

There are a few very effective skin bleaching creams available. However, specially should your hyperpigmentation issues are not too serious, you can even try some do-it-yourself solutions. Keep in mind that home cures, like commercial bleaching creams, need to be applied regularly in your daily routine.

For more effectiveness, always clean skin thoroughly before applying any skin bleaching cream (homemade or commercial)

Here are a couple of inexpensive and recipes for making your own skin bleaching cream in your own home.

(CAUTION: Do not apply about the eyes area)

– Buttermilk. One of the simplest skin bleaching do-it-yourself solutions is buttermilk. It contains lactic acid, which exfoliates skin. Once the top layer is taken away, your skin layer renews itself, appearing lighter in complexion. Just apply buttermilk using a cotton ball. Leave it on for fifteen minutes, then rinse rid of it with trouble.

– Potato. Another simple home cure for whitening skin. Grate a potato and spread the paste on skin. When grating the potato usually do not strain it simply because you want it’s juices. They will be the ones which contain the bleaching agent that may lighten skin. Allow the potato mask to dry and rinse them back.

– Almond Paste. Almonds also contain whitening agents. Soak 5 almonds in the bowl of water overnight. Peel them and mash them up in to a paste. Apply the paste on the skin. Allow it to dry then rinse off with domestic hot water.

– Orange peel. Sun dry some orange peels. When they are fully dried, grind them to create a powder. Add milk going without running shoes, come up with a paste and put it on on your epidermis. Leave it for a quarter-hour, then rinse them back with lukewarm water.

– Sandalwood paste. Make a paste using sandalwood powder, fresh lemon juice, tomato juice and cucumber juice. Apply on your skin until it dries. Rinse with water.

– Lemon juice and honey. Prepare a paste with fresh lemon juice, honey, almond oil and milk powder. Apply it for a quarter-hour and then rinse.

– Oatmeal, tomato juice and curd. Mix well the 3 ingredients and apply the amalgamation on your epidermis. Let it work for fifteen minutes, then rinse using cold water.

– Turmeric powder and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Make a paste and put it to use on your epidermis. Rinse after fifteen minutes.

Again, those do-it-yourself solution can be effective if the skin is definitely slightly hyperpigmentated. For more severe hyperpigmentation problems, you must look for a commercial skin bleaching cream.
